Liz’s musical journey began at age 16 and has since taken her across the globe, gracing stages at iconic festivals including Woodford Folk Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, and The National Folk Festival, among many others. She has collaborated with a diverse array of artists from both Australia and abroad, including While & Matthews (UK), Scott Cook (Canada), David LaMotte (US), David Hamburger (US), Gregory Page (US), Kristina Olsen (US), Fred Smith (AU), Michael Waugh (AU), Mic Conway (AU), Nick Charles (AU), Robbie Melville (AU) and so many more.
As a respected accompanist, producer, and arranger, Liz’s contributions have extended far beyond her solo work. She co-produced albums like Tangle Of Souls with Scott Cook and the She’ll Be Rights (2020) and Honest Man with John Flanagan Trio (2018). Her discography also includes Love and Other Crimes (2020), You & Me series (Volumes 1-3), and Jericho (2005).
Liz’s artistic vision offers a hopeful perspective from a neurodivergent lens, touching on themes of growth, trauma, and the journey toward self-acceptance. Her songwriting tells the stories of everyday people with warmth, courage, and authenticity.
An accomplished musician and vocalist, Liz studied jazz double bass at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, holds an Associate Diploma of Jazz Performance, and has further honed her skills with renowned mentors such as Katie Thiroux (Los Angeles, US). In 2020, she became a Level 1 voice teacher at the Institute for Vocal Advancement.
Her accolades include being a finalist for Best Folk Album in the Music Victoria Awards (2020), the Troubadour Foundation Artist of the Year (2018), and multiple recognitions from Folk Alliance Australia.
